How to get started:
The image below shows what you will see when you open "Ima Computer."
You would tap on the button that says, "Sign up to chat."
Sign up:
If you have a google (gmail) or apple account, you would tap the "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" button.
IF NOT, tap on the "Email address" box, as shown below, and type your email address.
NOTE: You will be asked create a password that is at least 12 letters and/or numbers.
Keeping it Safe:
Ima's builders are very concerned for your safety and privacy.
So, after you sign up, you will see this page.
You will leave that page open and go to your email where you will see an email from OpenAI with a "code" made up of numbers and/or letters.
Write the code down (or copy it) and go back to the tab (as shown above) to type the code in the box. (Tap here if need help moving between open windows/tabs on your phone.)
After you verify it's you, you're in!
To type to Ima, tap on "Message Ima Computer," as shown below:
To "type" to Ima with your voice, tap on the little picture of a microphone, as shown below:
NOTE: Tap the little picture of a microphone again to stop.
The words will appear on your screen.
Tap the arrow next to the words to send.
To "talk" to Ima, like a phone call, tap on the white circle with little black lines, as shown below:
NOTE: You MUST have an account to use the "voice mode," like a telephone. But you may TYPE to Ima without signing up for an account.
To let Ima start first, tap on one of the prefilled "starters," as shown below:
NOTE: You will have to put your finger on the first "starter" and slide it to the left to see the other options.
To start over, (if Ima starts acting funny or stops working altogether) tap on the little picture that looks like a paper and pencil in the upper right corner of the screen, as shown below:
After Ima:
Once you get comfortable with Ima, you will get an even MORE robust experience with the FULL ChatGPT model. It works exactly the same way except that it is NOT SPECIFICALLY for older adults.
To move to the FULL ChatGPT model, tap on the little white lines in the upper left corner of the screen, as shown below:
